Cut on the beat.

Result: A montage cut to the music, as an editable list of clips.

  1. Analyse the music first (♪ analyze).
  2. Set in / out, then open “beat cut”.
  3. Choose every beat, strong beats, half time, double time, randomized or every N beats; set the intensity.
  4. Check the proposal and confirm; the same seed gives the same cut.

tips

  • Smart Beat Cut uses the tempo grid only when the tempo is reliable, detected onsets otherwise — and says which.
