Move clips and snap them.

Result: Clips in the right order, aligned on cuts, beats or the playhead.

  1. Drag a clip to reorder it; an insertion marker shows where it lands. Esc cancels the drag, ⌥-drag duplicates.
  2. Press N to turn snapping on or off; a guide line names what you snapped to.
  3. Choose what to snap to in Timeline › Snap To (cuts, playhead, checkpoints, beats…); hold ⌃ while dragging to place freely.
  4. Select several clips with ⌘-click or ⇧-click; ⌘G groups them so they move together.
