Clean up a timeline with Smart Edit.

Result: Silences removed, starts trimmed or clips split on beats — after a preview.

  1. In the Edit tab, open ✦ smart in the side panel.
  2. Pick Remove Silences, Smart Trim or Split at Beats.
  3. Check the preview: dashed on the timeline, with a list of changes you can tick.
  4. Apply All or Apply Selected (one ⌘Z), or Cancel to leave the timeline unchanged.

tips

  • Timeline › ✦ smart edit also has Auto Draft (cut your clips on the music’s beats), Match Colors and Level Audio.
