Dithering.

Rebuild the image with a few colors and tiny dot patterns.

Drag to compare. Left: the original clip. Right: the same clip through print.dither, rendered by the app.

What does it do?

Dithering redraws your video with a small palette and patterns of dots, like an old printer or an early computer screen.

Creative ideas

  • Give a clip a 1-bit, early-computer look.
  • Print-style visuals for posters and covers.
  • Mix with color palettes for a retro game feel.

How to use it

  1. Open the Effects tab.
  2. Under VIDEO FX, click print.dither.
  3. Pick an algorithm and a palette, then adjust the scale.
