Superpixel Collapse.
Break the image into regions that implode towards a point.
Drag to compare. Left: the original clip. Right: the same clip through superpixel.collapse, rendered by the app.
What does it do?
Superpixel Collapse groups the image into cells and pulls them towards a centre point — or scatters them in an inverse explosion — with cell size, collapse, complexity, rotation and scatter. This demo uses the default settings.
Creative ideas
- An implosion at the end of a sequence.
- Move the centre point onto the subject.
- Animate collapse back to zero to rebuild the shot.
How to use it
- Open the Effects tab.
- In the left rail, under VIDEO FX, click superpixel.collapse.
- Set the cell size, then animate collapse.
Level: medium. Undo anything with ⌘Z.
