Time Displacement.

Show different parts of the picture at different moments in time.

Drag to compare. Left: the original clip. Right: the same clip through time.displace, rendered by the app.

What does it do?

Time Displacement takes each part of the image from a slightly different moment, so movement bends, smears and slices across the frame.

Creative ideas

  • Bend a person's movement into a wave.
  • Slit-scan style slices for music videos.
  • Turn a simple camera move into something strange.

How to use it

  1. Open the Effects tab.
  2. Under VIDEO FX, click time.displace.
  3. Choose the map and how far back in time it reaches.

Level: medium. Undo anything with ⌘Z.
