Feedback.

Feed the picture back into itself until it trails, spirals and blooms.

Drag to compare. Left: the original clip. Right: the same clip through feedback.loop, rendered by the app.

What does it do?

Feedback Loop mixes each new frame with its own previous output, slightly zoomed and rotated, so every movement leaves trails that keep folding into themselves. This demo uses a strong amount, a long decay, a small zoom and a 2° rotation.

Creative ideas

  • Turn a dance move into a spiral of ghosts.
  • Let lights smear into a tunnel.
  • Animate reset to clear the trails right at a cut.

How to use it

  1. Open the Effects tab.
  2. In the left rail, under VIDEO FX, click feedback.loop.
  3. Raise amount and decay, then add a little zoom or rotation.

Level: easy. Undo anything with ⌘Z.

Example preset

  • feedback.loop — amount 0.85, decay 0.9, zoom 0.03, rotation 2°

Render notes

Zoom and rotation set the direction of the spiral; decay sets how long trails last. Rendered on demo footage: headlights in the dark.
