Slit-Scan.
Curved bands of time: each band shows a different moment.
Drag to compare. Left: the original clip. Right: the same clip through slitscan.adv, rendered by the app.
What does it do?
Slit-Scan builds the image from bands taken at different times, so movement bends and stretches. Direction, speed, band width, time offset, curvature and intensity are adjustable. This demo uses the default settings.
Creative ideas
- Melting bodies on a dance shot.
- Curved time bands on a moving camera.
- Combine with Time Displace for heavier warps.
How to use it
- Open the Effects tab.
- In the left rail, under VIDEO FX, click slitscan.adv.
- Choose the direction; raise the time offset and curvature.
